Travel Through Design

The second edition of I.D.E.A. supported by ADI (Association for Industrial Design) showcases the work of many of Italy’s Top Design Companies and features the launch of a new collection of travel products created exclusively for Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts by the Golden Compass award-winning designer Odoardo Fioravanti as part of the “Travel Through Design” Exhibition.

I.D.E.A. 2011 was organized from 22 September to 22 October 2011 and coincided with the London Design Festival and the 100% Design.

Sponsored by illy, Fiat, Red Sea Group, Cyrus Yachts, Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts, Art’otels and Gear Construction, the free Exhibition was displayed prominently in public areas throughout the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge London Hotel, which is situated at the foot of Westminster Bridge opposite Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament. Ranging from travel products to contemporary furnishings and accessories, each of the items on display have been supplied by a leading Italian company and related to the world of Travel either by their unique design or inspiration. Participating companies included Alessi, Bitossi Ceramiche, Colle Vilca, Danese, Doma, Foscarini, Kristalia, Magis, Poltrona Frau Group, Saba Italia, Serralunga and Teuco.

The exhibition also hosted the illy Art Collection designed by Francesco Clemente.
